Housing Turnaround takes place this Saturday, 06, in Vitória

Event promoting dignified housing will be held at Multivix College The event Housing Turnaround – an initiative by Habitat for Humanity – takes place in 13 cities across the country simultaneously on August 6, and in Vitória it will be held at Multivix College, in Goiabeiras. The first edition of the event aims to promote a debate on fostering dignified housing by various actors in civil society, such as NGOs, collectives, technical advisory services, housing movements, impact businesses, companies, academia, public authorities, and class entities. In Vitória, the event is organized by the Council of Architecture and Urbanism of Espírito Santo (CAU/ES), the NGO Onze8, Canteiro-Escola Goiabeiras, and the Laboratory of Architectural and Urban Practices Multivix Vitória. For the president of the Council of Architecture and Urbanism of Espírito Santo (CAU/ES), Heliomar Venancio, "the event raises the issue with various involved organizations mobilized to think about the right of Brazilian families to have dignified housing, after all, it is fundamental, as stated in the Constitution," he says. Heliomar will participate in the Round Table that opens the event, "Housing Panorama in Brazil and ES," which starts at 9 am alongside state councilor Priscila Ceolin – who is one of the local idealizers of the event, along with architects and urban planners Ivan Rocha, Lucas Damm, and Dênis Pacheco. "We are happy to bring such a significant event to the State, idealized by professionals and institutions that are deeply committed to the housing cause," says Priscila Ceolin, who adds that "for the Council, the theme of democratizing technical assistance and housing is a central issue, and several actions are being taken in this regard." The event is open to architects, students, and other professionals working in public agencies and organizations related to housing.
