Summer has arrived, temperatures are higher than expected, and beach fashion emerges with an expression of freedom on very special days and nights, where artisanal expression, handmade touches, cutouts, ties, and vibrant colors take center stage, giving a unique and refined air to bikinis, swimsuits, and cover-ups. Among the trends seen from north to south of the country, the style director of Magia do Mar, Paula Deps, highlights what is in vogue.
“The artisanal style invades the beaches, incorporating braids and ties in the pieces, and these artisanal details add a touch of sophistication while maintaining lightness, in the simple and free way of the season,” she says. While this lightness prevails, sophistication also remains high, catering to all tastes, and asymmetrical swimsuits and bikinis become true staples of beach fashion. Besides the silhouette, these models steal the scene with strategic cuts, gathers, and ties, providing a modern and seductive aesthetic,” Paula explains.
The color palette remains vibrant, reflecting the liveliness of summer, with shades like pink, lemon, orange, and green dominating. “These tones add energy and freshness to the collections,” Paula points out. Virgínia Fonseca and Larissa Manoela were some of the celebrities who embraced the trend.
Not forgetting the versatility of the pieces, cover-ups complement the summer look, easily adapting to everyday life. “Shirts, pants, dresses, skirts, transparent tulle cover-ups like palazzo pants, this smooth transition between beach and street highlights the practicality and elegance of these pieces,” emphasizes the style director.
