Summer is approaching and clinics are already busy. In a recent survey released by the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) on September 1st, the 2022 Global Annual Survey revealed a noteworthy fact: non-surgical procedures have seen a significant increase of 57.8% over the past four years.

According to the survey, the most popular non-surgical procedures are botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid, hair removal, chemical peels, and non-surgical fat reduction. According to Dr. Renata Melo, this shows that the technologies currently present in aesthetic treatments are revolutionizing and gaining space in the beauty universe. "Because they are practical, less invasive, have quick absorption and effect, in addition to faster recovery, there are endless possibilities today to treat various areas of the body with effective results," says the doctor. Botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid lead the list of procedures due to the range of possibilities these agents can be used for. "With them, we can perform injectable procedures that hydrate and rejuvenate the skin and body," explains Renata. Among the novelties, the gluteal filling and harmonization with hyaluronic acid fills specific areas of the buttocks and provides firmness and texture to the skin in the region, improving the appearance of the buttocks in a natural and lasting way, says the doctor. And with summer knocking at the door, it is being highly sought after due to its effectiveness and the projection of volume and contour that the patient desires,” points out Renata.
