With over 40 years of history, Vila Velha University (UVV) is responsible for generating knowledge and networking for hundreds of students and alumni who have rolled up their sleeves and decided to start their own businesses. And at this moment when the economy is facing major challenges – due to the pandemic caused by the new coronavirus (Covid – 19) – the university's Pro-Rectory of Research, Graduate Studies, and Extension launches the UVV GO project – Generating Opportunities.
According to the extension coordinator Marinete Francischetto, the objective of this action is to expand the network of contacts for these businesses and facilitate the promotion of their work to the entire academic community. “It doesn’t matter if the company is small, medium, or large, whether it makes Italian straw or creates websites. The idea is to offer a collective space and make the business thrive,” she emphasizes.
With this project, UVV will serve as a channel for promoting and encouraging businesses, without responsibility for the transactions made. They will be promoted free of charge through the university's social media, website, and UVV Careers portal. In addition, a specific UVV GO page will be made available on the university's website, where all brands will be displayed with a brief presentation and their respective contacts.
