A former model Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady, who have been married for 13 years, recently experienced a crisis in their marriage due to the famous American football player's decision not to retire after announcing his retirement. Recent rumors have reported that the Brazilian left the house during the crisis, and several updates have been announced, such as the couple's return and a possible retirement for Brady.
According to integrative therapist Isabela Barcelos, it is very common for couples to go through such situations, and a good conversation along with common sense from both partners is necessary to reach a decision.
The therapist - who has a project aimed at brides before they get married - says she works on the well-being and psychological aspects of brides before the big day, but she also attends women who are going through crises in their marriages, like the former model. “Some brides I see before the big day continue with me at the beginning of their marriage during the adaptation period of living together, and others seek me during some crises,” Isabela shares.
Isabela explains that integrative medicine works on the whole person, seeking balance between body and mind. “We detect the emotional cause of physical wear, so we can treat its origin,” she says. “Anxiety and stress have a cause that comes from within, and we need to work on the whole to create complete harmony between body and mind,” the therapist explains.
“Among the treatments, it is possible to use meditation, therapy, the use of specific herbal teas, integrative health analysis (mental, emotional, and spiritual), deepening self-knowledge, and the importance of self-care,” Isabela emphasizes.
