Information Society Show in Vitória

The American band has a mixed style of synth-pop, new wave, techno, and freestyle, having been officially formed in late 1981 in Minneapolis with the union of three high school musicians and friends: Paul Robb, Kurt Harland, and James Cassidy. And this time there will be another Information Society show in Vitória.

Five years later Amanda Kramer joined the group, but left two years later. The group receives influences from various musical genres, but with greater emphasis on the electronic music of the 80s nightclubs. It became globally known for the songs "Running," in 1985, "Repetition" in 1989, and "What's on Your Mind (Pure Energy)".

Between 1987 and 1988, the band began to gain more prominence in the United States and Japan, but especially in Brazil, where the group became a great success until the disbandment of the original members in 1993.

In the soap opera Deus Nos Acuda, produced by Rede Globo, the song "Cry Baby" was part of the international soundtrack. The song "Slipping Away" was featured in the soundtrack of Perigosas Peruas; the song is one of the big hits of 1992, along with "Cry Baby." Two years earlier, in 1990, "Running" had been part of the soundtrack of the global soap opera Gente Fina.

Due to a series of misunderstandings among the three members, Paul and James left the band in 1993 to build other careers outside the music industry, leaving Kurt with the rights and name of the band. He even released a solo album in 1997 titled "Don't Be Afraid".

In 2006, the old members, Paul Robb, Kurt Harland, and James Cassidy, discussed the return of the band. Kurt Harland, for personal reasons[1], had to disconnect from the possible return of the group, passing the rights to Paul. Two other names then emerged: Christopher Anton and Sonja Myers. The new group, formed by Paul, James, Christopher, and Sonja, came to Brazil in August 2006 for a flashback show and already announced an album for 2007.

They performed in 2009 shows with the original lineup throughout Brazil, such as in Belo Horizonte, São Paulo, and Rio de Janeiro, in addition to participating in Hebe's programs on SBT and Domingão do Faustão on Rede Globo.

In 2012, they toured Brazil again.

In 2014, they returned to Brazil with the original lineup for three more shows, one in Campinas, Rio de Janeiro, Volta Redonda, and Cuiabá, with the show being very well received by the audience.
