Jota Quest show will be an 'Acoustic' performance with jam sessions and rarities. The 'Saideira Acústico Tour' will travel through several capitals in the country, and in Vitória (ES) it will take place on October 11, 2019.
A pop-rock band Jota Quest has just announced dates and locations for the last performances of its acclaimed show 'Acústico Jota Quest – Músicas Para Cantar Junto', which comes along with the release of a commemorative digital EP featuring rarities and jam sessions from 'Acústico'.
For 20 months 'on the road' with the shows of this first unplugged venture, the artistic endeavor of the Minas Gerais band has been a success with both the public and critics, totaling over 150 performances in 130 cities, attended by more than 600,000 spectators.
Between May and November 2019, the Jota Quest show 'Saideira Acústico Tour' will travel across the country from end to end with special shows in 12 Brazilian capitals, including Vitória, Brasília, Goiânia, Curitiba, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Fortaleza, Belém, Salvador, Porto Alegre, Florianópolis, Recife, and São Paulo.
To celebrate the festivities, and for the general joy of fans and followers, the group fulfills its promise and releases, in a digital EP, 5 songs that were left 'out' of the CD/DVD repertoire, both selected from rehearsals and jam sessions of 'Acústico'. In the repertoire, the black ballad 'Vício', the soul music 'Todas As Janelas', the rock ballad 'Palavras de um Futuro Bom', and also, the surprising new versions of 'Além do Horizonte', a classic by Roberto & Erasmo, and the bossa-jazz '35', by Heleno Loyola, this one featuring an incidental excerpt from the song 'O Telefone Tocou Novamente', by the legendary Jorge Ben Jor. The EP 'Saideira Acústico Sessions' will be available in digital stores on May 11, Friday, the date of the 2nd anniversary of the project's recording.
Exactly two years ago, on May 11 and 12, 2017, the CD/DVD/Digital 'Acústico Jota Quest' (Sony Music) was recorded at Quanta Studios in São Paulo, with musical production by Liminha, general direction by Joanna Mazzucchelli, and special appearances by Milton Nascimento and Marcelo Falcão (O Rappa). Since its release on the stage of Rock in Rio, 'Músicas Para Cantar Junto' has already earned the group a 'Gold Record' and exceeds 250 million views & plays in the digital environment, ranking as one of the most praised and successful works of the group in its more than 20 years of career.
Memory: On August 18 and 19, 2017, the band Jota Quest took the stage for the first time at the centenary 'Cine Theatro Central' in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, for the home debut of their new show 'Acústico Jota Quest – Musicas Para Cantar Junto'. From then on, Rogério Flausino, PJ, Paulinho Fonseca, Marcio Buzelin, and Marco Túlio Lara would also perform in theater halls, an unprecedented fact in their career, where they would experience some of the most special and rewarding artistic experiences of their lives.
