The survey from the Beer Yearbook indicated that the concentration of breweries in the Southeast region remains high, with 798 registered establishments, representing 46.2% of the total breweries in Brazil. The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA) released on the last day 5, another edition of the Beer Yearbook that showed the growth of the brewing sector by 11.6%, with the opening of 180 new establishments in the country. In total, the country has 1,729 breweries. One example is Loveland Brewery, which has a factory based in Ibatiba, Espírito Santo (which borders Minas Gerais), and opened a pub at the end of May in Vila Velha. Brewer Joaquim Natal had his work recognized nationally, with one of his beers awarded as the best beer in Brazil, the American Wheat - which won the Gold Medal for the best beer in the country in the American Style Wheat Beer category at the 'Brazilian Beer Contest' held in Blumenau (SC). "The American Stout also won a Gold Medal at the Brazil Beer Cup in 2022, and the German Pils won a Gold Medal in the European Lager category at the Copa Capixaba de Cerveja Artesanal and a Silver Medal at the Best of Show of the Copa Capixaba de Cerveja Artesanal, making it the second best beer from Espírito Santo in 2022," says the brewer. In 2022, Loveland Brewery hired a business consulting firm specialized in business expansion, and today it already has a Pub Praia da Costa and investment projects. "Our goal is to invest R$ 2 million by December 2024 and prepare the factory to produce at least twenty thousand liters/month without losing quality, investing in people, corporate governance, and equipment," explains one of the partners, Hubner. The pub model was designed for the own unit to eventually work on the franchise model. "Our forecast is to have a revenue of R$ 4,500,000 by 2025," points out Hubner. "With our factory running at full steam, participation in events focused on the brewing universe, and work projects in e-commerce, our aim is to solidify ourselves even more in this market and by 2025 have at least five award-winning beers in the world," says brewer Joaquim Natal.
