The moment requires caution in the economy, but also some innovative attitudes that respond to the current situation in the world due to the new coronavirus (Covid-19). Therefore, even with many cancellations in various areas, there is also a scenario of some entrepreneurs who decided to maintain their projects – which had already been planned before the pandemic.
Among them is Luiza Molina, who runs the women's clothing brand Mazla. In addition to presenting her physical store to her customers and launching it on social media, the entrepreneur also debuted her first collection, titled Preciosidade. The idea is to offer quality pieces with unique tailoring that represents women without stereotypes.
"All operations are being conducted according to the guidelines set by the State Government, with one customer at a time, by appointment, and also with online service, through sales channels via social media, with delivery of the pieces to homes, prioritizing comfort and safety. We have to be concerned about the situation and stay attentive to the precautions. But, as much as possible, we also need to move forward with some actions that do not harm the entire situation,” she believes.
Luiza Molina is optimistic about the business. “Entrepreneurship is not easy, but we also need to understand that the moment is challenging and requires us to make some important decisions. I believe that thinking positively and strategically, taking into account the evolution of technology and new service formats, can be a great opportunity – in some situations and depending on the business profile – to not be shaken and at least try to maintain without losses amid this crisis,” she opines.
Who is Luiza Molina?
The entrepreneur did not suddenly enter the fashion world. She grew up among fabrics, thanks to her family's traditional store, which has been in the market for 40 years, located in Jardim da Penha. “I have childhood memories of running with my sister, playing hide and seek among the fabrics,” she recalls. She also mentions that it was at 17, when she started working at her father's store, that she discovered her passion for fashion and especially for well-made clothes, with good cuts and tailoring. She spent more than ten years working with her family and dreaming of having her own brand.
It was then that she decided her new year resolution for 2019 would be to bring this dream to life. After much planning, market research, and supported by her husband and partner Erick Giurizatto, she was fully willing to invest in a brand that was missing in the market. Every detail was thought out to meet her and many other women's difficulty in finding clothes that fit their bodies. After all, it is not your body that needs to adapt to the clothes; it is the clothes that need to adapt to your body.
