The twilly scarf is narrow and not square or rectangular as we often see. “It can be worn around the neck, tied around the wrist, as a headband, as a belt, and hung on the bag's handle,” explained entrepreneur Rachel Pires, who creates this novelty at Nuvem Sublimação.
Promising to keep cold drinks at the right temperature for up to four hours, thermal cups have become popular among adults. “Without a doubt, it’s an item that will be hot this summer,” pointed out businessman Léo Leal, who sells the cups at Convento Cervejaria.
To dress the kids and keep them comfortable and cool, tank top and shorts sets are sure to please parents. With cheerful colors that embody summer, these pieces can be found at the Pimpo Kids store and are imported.
In fashion trends, stripes also make a strong presence this summer. To refresh and renew this classic pattern, striped pieces can come in colorful variations and mixed with other prints.
“Stripes come with both wide spacing between them and very thin patterns. And it’s very easy to combine stripes with other prints; it looks modern and stylish,” says entrepreneur Gilcéa Prudencio, who runs the multibrand store Caxuxa in Jardim da Penha.
The use of natural products in the beauty market is expected to continue thriving this summer and throughout the year. According to natural hair therapist Paula Breder, hair needs products with an adequate concentration of active ingredients. “Petrolatum and silicones do not treat hair; they only provide a cosmetic effect. They do not penetrate the cortex. And excessive use can cause itching, hair loss, and allergies,” she says.
