The Meridional Network and PASA, Vale's self-managed health operator, have signed an exclusive partnership for health service provision that will benefit employees, their dependents, and retirees of the Brazilian multinational mining company.
Currently, PASA has its own clinic located in Vitória, with a medical and multidisciplinary team. Aiming to bring higher quality assistance closer to beneficiaries, PASA and the Meridional Network have established a groundbreaking partnership allowing the expansion of the Doctor PASA Clinic to four cities in Espírito Santo: Vitória, Vila Velha, Serra, and Cariacica.
The CEO of Kora Saúde, Antonio Benjamim Neto, states that the partnership is transformational and will bring many advantages to all lives assisted by PASA in the region. "This agreement brings a network of services for these people who were previously restricted to one clinic. Now, they will have their own clinics within hospitals, where comprehensive health services will be provided to beneficiaries, with access to the highest technology, resolution, and complexity with the best health assistance available in Espírito Santo," he emphasizes. The health operator will have its own clinics operating within the Meridional Vitória, Meridional Praia da Costa, Meridional Serra, and Meridional Cariacica units.
Benjamim also highlights that "the main objective of this partnership is to offer AMS and PASA beneficiaries comprehensive health assistance, where the patient is supported from primary care and prevention to the highest complexity treatments, such as major surgeries, all in the same location, thus avoiding various waste due to disintegrated assistance as is commonly seen today. This entire agreement was supported and by the representative entities of Vale's employees and retirees. We hope this partnership lasts many years and that we can extend it soon," concludes the manager.
The ceremony to consolidate the partnership was attended by PASA's CEO, Ricardo Gruba, PASA's Health Director, Patricia Pena, as well as representatives from the founding unions of the operator: Sebastião Deiró, president of Aposvale; Wagner Xavier, CEO of Sindfer; and André Viana, president of the Metabase union.
This new format of PASA Clinics will be available starting in the second half of 2022.

The Meridional Network has seven hospitals in Espírito Santo: Meridional Cariacica, Meridional Vitória, Meridional Serra, Meridional Praia da Costa, Meridional São Mateus, Hospital São Luiz, and Hospital São Francisco.
