According to plastic surgeon and member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery (SBCP), Humberto Pinto, the technique was launched by American doctor John Tebbetts 20 years ago and has been refined since then. "During this time, the technique has been studied and improved by various doctors, and the results are truly satisfactory," assures the surgeon.
R24R is nothing more than a specific anesthesia that enables postoperative recovery in up to 24 hours. "Already the day after the plastic surgery, the patient can perform some light movements and there is no need to stay hospitalized," states the doctor.
According to Humberto, in addition to the anesthetic technique, there is a whole structure behind the patient's care to ensure everything goes as planned. "From the consultation to define the size of the prosthesis to the day of the surgery, meticulous work is involved," emphasizes the doctor.
Various protocols are implemented for the success of the operation and recovery within 24 hours, such as the use of anti-inflammatory medications, contact with the prosthesis, and high-standard equipment for precise work, in addition to a complete team that includes the surgeon, anesthetist, physiotherapist, and nursing staff.
This surgery is indicated for patients with little breast tissue who want breast augmentation, and among its benefits are faster healing; reduced swelling and chances of infection; as well as less pain and discomfort post-surgery.
