With milder temperatures, various factors interfere with our body and sometimes we don't even realize it. Regarding hair, the loss of strands is more pronounced.
The natural hair therapist Paula Breder explains that with colder temperatures, the air becomes less humid and thus the skin and hair become drier. “Generally, at this time there is a shedding of strands and the loss becomes more noticeable,” says Paula.
Thus, in addition to all the care we take with our hair, we should pay attention to our overall health. “Besides the products indicated for dryness, it is extremely necessary to have a good diet, drink plenty of water, and practice physical activities; this reflects on the health of the body and hair,” emphasizes Paula.
Another tip from the hair therapist is to avoid hot showers: “The strands are already dry, and if we use very hot water, the treatment goes down the drain, haha.. opt for lukewarm water,” she points out.
Regarding products, try to alternate them, using masks specifically for hydration and adding them to your usual products to keep your hair healthy. Summer is approaching, and all care is valid.
