During the pandemic, one of the classes that has suffered greatly from the lack of work is the artistic class. Many musicians who relied on income from bars and events have faced difficulties. With this in mind, musician Chico Hosken, in partnership with other artists from Espírito Santo, created the Canto Solidário project. The project consists of bringing musicians to perform at fairs and on sidewalks, in front of houses and condominiums, with the aim of raising donations for their families.
Chico emphasizes that the initiative has been successful. “We do these pocket shows in the streets encouraging people to donate and also bringing joy and relaxation at this moment when it is so important for the population not to leave home unless necessary. The artists have been able to support their families, and people can help as they can,” says the musician.
