Lorena stated that there are fillers of different densities. Harder products are used to structure areas like the cheekbone and jaw, for example. They were developed for areas close to the bone; for the buttocks, I use an intermediate filler, which cannot be too heavy to avoid sagging, but needs to be fluid and long-lasting. To treat the labia majora, I use a density similar to that used on the lips of the mouth.
The products vary according to density, type, and manufacturer, and it is important for the professional to use good products to ensure a more lasting result. High to medium-density products also have the additional benefit of lasting longer. They take longer to be absorbed by the body.
“To perform the procedure on the vaginal lips, I inject hyaluronic acid with a microcannula through a small incision; beforehand, I anesthetize the area through just one tiny hole on each side. I usually apply 3 to 6 syringes directly to the labia majora, depending on each case, and with this, they gain an adequate volume that will encompass the labia minora, promoting a closure of the area,” said the doctor.
The entire procedure can be performed in the office and is very safe. The results are immediate; the patient leaves with the intimate area rejuvenated and more beautiful.
