There is a lot of talk about 'Ozone Therapy', but questions arise about whether the treatment is really effective. After all, when we talk about the substance 'ozone', the 'ozone layer' comes to mind, right? Biomedical expert in 'Aesthetic Biomedicine' Juliana Pedrosa Sarmento clarifies some issues, starting with what Ozone is. “Ozone gas is the third most present gas in the atmosphere and its use began in World War I, in Germany. Ozone vapor was used on soldiers' wounds and injuries, and they noticed that the result was positive, such as a reduction in amputations,” explains Juliana.
Thus, studies regarding the medicinal properties of the gas evolved. “Medicinal ozone is a mixture of oxygen gas with ozone gas used in integrative health in various ways,” says the biomedical expert. Believing in the potential of the treatments, “PB Integrative Health”, a clinic run by Juliana and natural hair therapist Paula Breder, will start operating at the end of July in Vila Velha.
“We will offer Ozone Therapy in integrative practice, in aesthetics as body and hair treatments, as well as treatments for infectious, inflammatory, and degenerative diseases,” says natural hair therapist Paula Breder. “At this moment we are living, it is a challenge to inaugurate the first clinic specializing in this treatment, however, it is encouraging, as it is a time when people will value their health even more and seek effective treatments to boost immunity, as Ozone Therapy offers,” points out Paula. The clinic “PB Integrative Health” will operate in the center of Vila Velha and will follow all safety protocols recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) for service.
