It is in fashion to indulge in international bread recipes. Therefore, bakeries and delicatessens in Espírito Santo are changing their menus to offer global recipes to the locals.
Among the favorites are cinnamon rolls and Hungarian bread. While the former originated in Sweden in the 1920s and basically consists of a spiral-shaped cinnamon cake, the latter is attributed to Hungary, and in the recipe we know here, they are made with sour cream, dried fruits, and sometimes cinnamon.
“We recently opened our delicatessen. We soon realized that some breads could not be left out. Hungarian bread was one of them. It is among the most requested. With that, we are evaluating the possibility of offering other international bread recipes,” said entrepreneur Sharliane Rodrigues, partner at É1 Mercado.
