Research shows that they stand out as investors The stock market is now 'a woman's thing', according to a survey by iHUB Investimentos. The data shows a significant increase in their interest in this form of investment, which is traditionally associated with the male universe, between March and April of this year. The profile of female investors is that of a fearless woman who decided to invest in stocks without prior experience. They are between 30 and 45 years old, with an income of around R$15,000, an invested wealth of up to 500,000, and are postgraduates. Generally, they are executives or self-employed professionals. Cecília Perini, a woman, economist, and financial planner, believes that the new female stance is related to the collective encouragement experienced in society in recent years. "This resulted in greater personal confidence, and they realized that the stock market is not a monster. They embraced this strategy and are now enjoying the results," she said. The increase in their confidence to invest in the stock market, according to the survey, was also influenced by the low rates presented by Selic and CDI, which raised their willingness to take risks. And without fear, they are leaving fixed income assets and moving to the stock market and multimarket funds, which "allow for greater management freedom and offer higher returns. However, they are also riskier," explained Cecília Perini.
