"Time, Time, Time" is the new exhibition by photographer Tadeu Bianconi, which will be presented at Mosaico Fotogaleria on the 23rd, starting at 7 PM. These are images that represent 40 years of dedication to photography.
With a consolidated career, Tadeu has gone through photojournalism, advertising, and industry, published several books, and held dozens of exhibitions in Brazil and various countries.
He studied photography in Germany with photographer Ekkehard Grote in the 1980s, where he got to know the great masters through books and on-site experiences in various countries across Europe.
In Brazil, he found in documentary photographers a new path that made him discover popular culture and the daily life of the most remote corners of Espírito Santo.
"My photography is humanistic. When I returned from Germany, I found a great reference in Espírito Santo, which was Rogério Medeiros. In Brazil, names like Walter Firmo, Flavio Damm, José Medeiros, Milton Guran, and Pedro Martinelli were some of the masters who influenced my perspective and helped pave my way in photography," recalls Bianconi.
More than 900 photographs will be exhibited
To represent all the diversity of Bianconi's work, the exhibition "Time, Time, Time" will feature more than 900 photographs, presented in an exhibition design created by the Mosaico Fotogaleria team: Gabriel Lordello, Vitor Bermudes, Patrícia Sales, and the photographer himself.
"We thought of an exhibition design that represents Tadeu's perspective, with photographs from various genres, landscapes, abstracts, daily life, and cities. In addition to traditional framed pieces, we will have six large 'contact sheet' panels that reveal how the photographer's editing process has evolved from the analog era to today," explains Gabriel Lordello from Mosaico Fotogaleria and one of the exhibition's curators.
There will be 14 framed pieces and six panels with about 150 photographs each. In addition to the printed photos, some cameras used by the artist throughout his career and the enlarger in which Bianconi copied various images during the analog era will be displayed.
All photographs will be available for sale, including the ready-made frames as well as the printed copies. Three boxes with 10 selected photos for collectors will also be available. All sales from the exhibition will be directed to a project for a book that will celebrate Bianconi's 40 years of career.
Philosopher Fernando Mendes Pessoa was invited to write the curatorial text for the exhibition. "Many photographs, each different from the other, form a mosaic that needs to be viewed slowly, looking at each image, both from the distance of the whole and the proximity of its details, in order to, slowly, see how this exhibition presents a prayer to time: 'Composer of destinies. Drum of all rhythms. Time, time, time, time. I enter into an agreement with you,'" describes Fernando.
