Capixaba craft beer startup holds its first festival in Vila Velha A MeuChope – a capixaba craft beer startup – is hosting its first music and beer festival in Espírito Santo. The event will take place at Boulevard Shopping Vila Velha, in Vila Velha, from September 6 to 11, from 5 PM to midnight, with free entry. MeuChope, led by entrepreneurs Augusto Sato and Bruno Medeiros, has been shaking up the capixaba beer market by democratizing the consumption of capixaba craft beers through its self-service system. According to Sato, they have been actively participating in various capixaba events and decided to create their own festival. "We are going to hold a festival to give more capixaba breweries the opportunity to participate," he explains. The event will feature 16 shows, with a different musical style each day, ranging from sertanejo to rap. Another highlight of the MeuChope Festival is the number of participating breweries, with 60 labels and 30 breweries confirmed, including: Barba Ruiva; Convento Cervejaria, Kingbier; Buena Vista; Casa Grossa, Fratelli; Casa 107; Piwo; Grecco; Tarvos; Fatto a Mano; Loveland; Trarko; Nobat; Kastle Hops; Moondogs; Piabier; Moro; Três Torres; Berger Bier; Arapuca; Loro Loco; Mythos; Serpentária; Nebulosa; Dushi; Altezza; Speranza; Black Rock Beer and Brusk. On the culinary side, confirmed participants include Casa do Torresmo, O Senhor dos Pasteis, Mandando Brasa, and Mister Frango. "A completely capixaba event valuing local businesses, the beer culture of our land, and providing an entertainment option during the holiday," highlights the other partner, Bruno Medeiros. Speaking of valuing culture, the MeuChope Festival will feature barrels from the Sopa das Minas project. "The decorative barrels will be in a 360 space for Instagram use," says Monique Barth from MeuChope. "We acquired some large cans for this social purpose," she emphasizes. Additionally, there will be no plastic cups at the event, only Eco cups that will be sold on-site at cost price. "We want to encourage attendees to use this cup or bring their thermal cup from home to avoid plastic use," explains Monique. Below is the musical programming and information.
