The Corona Virus pandemic caught everyone by surprise, especially business owners. Various sectors of the economy were heavily impacted and are facing numerous difficulties in maintaining their operations.
Some sectors were completely prevented from carrying out their activities, while others received partial authorization. The government adopted measures to try to assist business owners, but such measures are not sufficient for everyone.
Gradually, the return of activities is being relaxed, but even so, economic recovery will take some time to happen.
In light of this entire scenario, WelcomeGroup decided to bring forward the launch of the Business Table, which was previously scheduled for early 2021, in order to help its partners navigate this very difficult time more quickly.
What is the Business Table
The Business Table consists of a type of exchange club (or barter) for products and services among the partner companies of WelcomeGroup, in a multilateral manner. That is, one company can acquire a product or service from another company participating in the "table" and will leave, as a form of payment, its products or services of equivalent value so that other companies can acquire it in the same way. It is an intelligent barter, where two companies do not need to be obliged to do business directly with each other.
According to Hugo Rodrigues, founder of WelcomeGroup (1994): "The company buys what it needs and pays with what it has. We have extensive experience in conducting barters, especially after 2010, when 90% of the advertisers of the magazine WelcomePlanet started to pay for their ads in barter with their products and services, and we settled this through the marketplace welcomeshop.com.br. We reached over 4 million in accumulated barters and had to find a way to sell this quickly."
How to Participate in the Business Table
To participate in the Business Table, you must first register for the plan you deem most suitable (bronze, silver, or gold) to be done directly on the website mesadenegociosbrasil.com and then respond to a questionnaire of interests. This questionnaire asks objective questions about the company's spending on certain products or services, such as: How much does the company spend on employee food, fuel, accounting, pest control, lawyers, transportation, travel, uniforms. There are even questions about the business owner's personal expenses such as dentists, health plans, beauty salons, clothing, educational institutions, internet providers, auto repair shops, IT, among others.
After completing this pre-registration, an analysis of the company is conducted, taking into account mainly its responses regarding its interests and also the interests of other companies that already participate in the table. If the table has companies that meet your interests and what the company will offer at the business table is of interest to other companies, a "Match" occurs and the company is practically approved to participate. Other criteria will also be evaluated, such as the quality of services already provided, the integrity of the company, among others, in order to avoid problems for other participants.
Conducting Meetings Among Participants
One of the highlights of the Business Table is the promotion of meetings among participants. Through these meetings, business owners will expand their network and have the opportunity to present their company.
The meetings will be held at least once a month, both virtually and in person (dinners, lunches, breakfasts, happy hours, etc.), and everyone can participate and bring guests.
The WelcomeGroup has extensive experience in conducting meetings among companies, a fact that can be verified on the social media of its other products such as the Women in Business network. Led by Elayne Borel, the MN network has 3 groups (Connect, Business, and Bahia) with over 150 businesswomen.
Expansion of the Business Table
The Business Table is already beginning its expansion to other states in Brazil. The first city to be implemented is Teixeira de Freitas (BA), where WelcomeGroup already has ongoing business. WelcomeGroup has been present in this city since 2019 through the Women in Business group with over 40 participating companies.
Other cities where WelcomeGroup already has business are Sete Lagoas and Belo Horizonte and will be the next to receive the "table".
