Eating food incorrectly by chewing quickly can lead to weight gain. In a hurry, a person tends to not feel full and is prone to overeating.
“Eating fast and consuming food incorrectly makes people more likely to overeat. When eating too quickly, the brain takes time to receive signals from hunger-regulating hormones, which is why a person ends up eating much more,” says endocrinologist and sports medicine specialist Gisele Lorenzoni.
It is necessary to adopt a set of small habits for those who wish to lose weight and maintain balanced health, according to the specialist. “It is good to avoid eating late at night, and in cases of insomnia, there is a tendency to seek foods rich in carbohydrates and fats during the night. Generally, these individuals feel more tired the next day due to not having slept well and end up not wanting to exercise. This becomes a vicious cycle,” she warns.
