Marcelo Falcão and Nando Reis together in Guarapari

National pop rock lovers can celebrate because the Summer schedule of Multiplace Mais in Guarapari features a night dedicated to them! The event, scheduled for January 4th, Saturday, at 9 PM, will be led by two great names in Brazilian music: Marcelo Falcão and Nando Reis together on the same stage - the carioca Marcelo Falcão, who gained notoriety by leading the band O Rappa, and the paulista Nando Reis.

With 35 years of career, José Fernando Gomes dos Reis, artistically known as Nando Reis, has become one of the main Brazilian composers in history. Currently, the musician is touring Brazil with the “Esse Amor Sem Preconceito” tour, based on the album “Não Sou Nenhum Roberto, mas às Vezes Chego Perto,” released in April. The work features reinterpretations of classics by Roberto Carlos, such as “Amada Amante” and “De Tanto Amor.”

After the album in tribute to the Jovem Guarda icon, he also released a version of “Como Vai Você,” authored by Antônio Marcos and Mário Marcos, which became famous in the voice of the King in 1972, and shared vocals with the carioca trio Melim on “Onde Você Mora?”, a hit from Cidade Negra. Both should be present in the show, which will also feature the acclaimed authorial repertoire of the singer, including hits like “Por Onde Andei,” “Luz dos Olhos,” “Relicário,” and “All Star.”

The carioca Marcelo Falcão arrives in the state with the tour of his first solo album, “Viver (Mais Leve que o Ar),” released in February. The homonymous show is marked by songs from this new phase, such as “Viver,” “Eu Quero Ver o Mar,” “Diz Aí,” “Só Por Você,” and “Hoje Eu Decidi.” His first individual work brings a mix of rock, reggae, pop, and hip hop, based on the material he has been composing over the last few years, around 600 files that were refined and selected until reaching the final format.

As one of the biggest references in national music, the artist was at the forefront of the band O Rappa for 25 years, which went on hiatus in 2018, and therefore will not miss singing classics that were part of his journey leading the group, such as “Anjos (pra quem tem fé),” “Minha Alma,” “Me Deixa,” “Lado B Lado A,” and “Pescador de Ilusões.”

In March, Falcão released the new song "Ladrões," a version of “Night Nurse,” composed by Gregory Isaacs and Sylvester Weise. The Portuguese version addresses corruption in the country and how the population is at the mercy of the dealings of politicians from the highest echelons.
