Education that also nurtures
Healthy eating has ceased to be a differential and has become an essential part of educational training. At Maple Bear Vitória and Vila Velha, the commitment to students' health goes far beyond the classroom. The units offer balanced, safe meals designed for each age group.
According to the director of Maple Bear Vila Velha, Juliana Camargo, Maple Bear understands that it is helping to shape future adults who are aware of what they consume. "The menu is developed based on rigorous nutritional criteria, respecting the specific needs of the students, as well as promoting the introduction of new flavors and the appreciation of fresh and natural foods," she explains.
Called “Snack Time”, we also encourage children's autonomy and healthy choices during this time. "Our menu is rich in fruits, vegetables, and also foods aimed at those with food intolerances, but without neglecting the nutrition that every child needs," emphasizes the director of the Vitória unit, Bethânia Lorençon.
In addition to nutritional care, the school promotes educational activities about conscious eating.
According to data from the National School Feeding Program (PNAE) of the Federal Government, more than 40 million students are served daily by public food policies in schools, with guidelines prioritizing fresh foods, family farming, and food and nutritional education. This initiative is considered one of the largest and most comprehensive in the world.
Maple Bear, even operating in the private sector, shares the same principles. "This highlights the need to make school meals more attractive and nutritious, encouraging healthy eating habits from an early age," points out Bethânia.
