Liposuction - a plastic surgery aimed at removing fat from the body - has been modernized, and one of the latest innovations is Lipolaser.
The Lipolaser is laser-assisted liposuction where laser waves are used to eliminate fat cells. “The Lipolaser dissolves fat with a special cannula connected to the laser device,” explains plastic surgeon and member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery (SBCP), Dr. Humberto Pinto.
The doctor recently performed Lipolaser and reports that one of the benefits for the patient is recovery. “This type of surgery is a tool that provides more comfort and better recovery in the postoperative period,” he states. The technique, being advanced and more modern compared to other surgeries, provides better skin retraction and satisfactory results in a short time. “Depending on the size of the surgical area, we can release the patient within three to four days for the return to their activities,” the doctor explains.
In this type of plastic surgery, there can be risks, such as burns to tissues and skin, but Humberto explains that this will not happen with a qualified and trained professional in the field. “In the laser equipment, there are strict safety rules to be followed, and the plastic surgeon is trained for this, in addition to being aware that this lipo can only be performed in a hospital environment,” he points out.
