A technological innovation that has come to stay and is effective in stimulating collagen production and compacting fat is the 1064 Laser handpiece, both long and short pulse, according to dermatologist and member of the Brazilian Society of Dermatology (SBD) Karina Mazzini. The rays penetrate the skin quickly and painlessly, promoting stimulation without damaging the outer skin. “The patient can go to work normally and does not become red,” the doctor said. According to her, improvement is already noticeable in the first session of using this equipment. Four sessions, one per month, are needed to achieve the desired result.
In addition, there are several technologies available today, and they can be combined. “For example, it is possible to combine fractional lasers (erbium laser and CO2 laser) with fractional microneedling radiofrequency to promote good collagen stimulation and skin lightening. It is also possible, before these procedures, to use high-intensity focused ultrasound to stimulate collagen formation from the muscle. In other words, combining several treatments at once greatly enhances the results,” points out the dermatologist.
“In addition to radiofrequency, Digital Drug Delivery can also be performed, where the equipment microneedles the skin and injects, for example, hyaluronic acid, all at the same time, thus enhancing collagen formation,” adds dermatologist Karina Mazzini.
