The 17th edition of the FAESA Race has been officially launched! With the most charming route among the races in Vitória, the event supports the cause of Pink October, highlighting the vital importance of breast cancer prevention. Mark your calendar: The race will take place on October 15.
In total, there are four categories for men and women: Open, PCD, FAESA, and Education Professionals, which applies to all professionals working directly or indirectly in public or private educational institutions, as well as in gyms and sports advisory services. The top five finishers in each category, both male and female, will be awarded medals, trophies, and cash prizes of up to R$ 2,500.00. The prizes are the same for all categories, and the FAESA Race is the only competition in ES that equally rewards athletes in the PCD category.
Daniela Negri, Strategy and Planning Manager at FAESA and responsible for organizing the race, explains that the expectation is that this year the competition will gather even more runners than in previous editions. “The FAESA Race is a competition that is already part of the calendar for many athletes. It features the most charming route in Vitória, and we aim to promote the best experience for runners with each edition. This year, our goal is to further increase the participation of PCD athletes, as this is the only competition in ES with equal prizes for all categories, in addition to also honoring and encouraging the promotion of physical and mental health through sports for education professionals, who will have a special category this year,” she emphasizes.
The race is known for having the most charming route among the races in the capital of Espírito Santo and also for promoting Pink October – reinforcing the importance of breast cancer prevention. The 10 km race will start at 7 a.m. on Avenida Marechal Mascarenhas de Moraes (Downtown), in front of Praça Pio XII, passing through Avenida Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes, Avenida Américo Buaiz, Avenida Saturnino de Brito, and finishing at the fourth parking lot of Praia de Camburi (K6), located on Av.
