The Minas Gerais band takes the stage at Espaço Patrick Ribeiro this Friday, starting at 10 PM The Minas Gerais band Lagum presents their tour "Depois do Fim" this Friday, starting at 10 PM at Espaço Patrick Ribeiro. The repertoire includes great hits that make this group one of the biggest bands in Brazil, even with less than a decade of existence. The current lineup of the band includes Francisco Jardim (bass), Glauco Borges (guitars), Otávio Cardoso (guitars), and Pedro Calais (vocals). The current tour takes its name from the band's fourth album and is touring the main Brazilian capitals, including São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre, Curitiba, and many other cities in the country. In addition, the band is taking their music beyond borders, with performances in Europe. In this new chapter of their career, Lagum is delivering an iconic show to their fans. Even with such a short career, Lagum was nominated in 2022 for the Latin Grammy in the category of Best Rock or Alternative Music Album in Portuguese. The band has also won important awards, such as Group of the Year (2020, 2021, and 2022) at the Prêmio Multishow de Música Brasileira.     History of Lagum In 2014, four friends came together in Minas Gerais to form Lagum, with Pedro Calais on vocals, Zani (Otávio Cardoso) and Jorge (Glauco Borges) on guitar, and Chico (Francisco Jardim) on bass. During the band's journey, they met Tio Wilson (Breno Braga), who played the drums. The first album was released in 2016, "Seja o Que Eu Quiser," featuring the band's first original songs. Amid a season of singles between albums, "Deixa" exploded on streaming platforms and radio, putting the band in the national spotlight. In 2019, the second album, "Coisas de Geração," was released and took the group to stages all over Brazil and beyond, marking Lagum's first major tour. During the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, Tio Wilson passed away after suffering a cardiorespiratory arrest caused by a heart condition (dilated cardiomyopathy). In 2021, "MEMÓRIAS (de onde eu nunca fui)," which includes Tio Wilson's last recordings on drums, was released and nominated for the Latin Grammy, also marking the band's last international tour in 2022/20. In March 2023, the group released an EP called "FIM," which includes three new tracks recorded in a Live Session and marks a new moment for the band. Titled "DEPOIS DO FIM," in April of this year, Lagum released their fourth album, which reached the top #50 albums on Spotify Brazil in less than a week. Viscerally, Lagum experiments in their songs with metrics, forms, and sonorities that were previously little explored, such as piano, strings, brass, and electronic textures.   Service: When: August 11 Time: 10 PM Where: At Espaço Patrick Ribeiro.
