According to research, women lead beer consumption
According to a report by Consumer Insider, conducted by Kantar last year, the third quarter of 2021 recorded the highest number of consumers of the beverage since the third quarter of 2019, with an increase of 127%, and the profile that contributed the most to this increase was composed of women aged 40 to 49 from classes A and B. The favorite among Brazilians, according to a survey by the consultancy Euromonitor at the request of Sindicerv (Union of Beer Industries), is Lager beer, which represents 91% of the total retail sales volume.
In addition to these factors, the founding partners of MeuChope.com, Bruno Medeiros and Augusto Sato, are conducting an action this week for women, celebrating their day on March 8th. "We will make available in all our machines a lager beer made by a woman from a brewery in Espírito Santo," says Medeiros.
The chosen one was Brewmaster Juliana Ronchi Reggiani (in the highlighted photo), from Cervejaria Fratelli, located in Jardim da Penha. Juliana is a reference when it comes to beer. She is the president of the Union of Beverage Industry in the State of Espírito Santo (SINDIBEBIDAS), Brewmaster by FIRJAM Vassouras, RJ; Distillation Master (ESCM - Blumenau, SC); Director of Bebidas Reggiani, Director of Cervejaria Fratelli Reggiani, Counselor of the Federation of Industries of Espírito Santo (Findes), Vice President of the Thematic Council on Tax Matters (Contatri).
"Fratelli Reggiani was created with the aim of rescuing the family tradition of producing artisanal beverages made on a small scale, with all care, criteria, and passion, enabling us to provide a unique experience to our customers, friends, and family," says Juliana.
She says she was very honored by the choice for the tribute to women by MeuChope.com and to represent this group of female brewers from Espírito Santo who still need recognition. "There are already many women working in the field," explains Juliana.
For Medeiros, the tribute had a special surprise: "The lager beer we will make available in our machines is called Reggina Larger, the name of my mother who passed away two years ago," he highlights. "It was a wonderful coincidence that left me ecstatic," says the businessman.
The beer Reggina Larger from Cervejaria Fratteli will be available in the MeuChope.com machines located at Sr. Mustache in Mata da Praia and will also be available in the machines of the condominiums they serve and at Shopping Vitória and Shopping Boulevard, Base 27 and Space 22.
