Hair care is one of the most recurring topics of interest for many, especially women. For many – those with curly or coily hair experience hair hydrophobia. “An incorrect hair care routine causes many women to create a deposit of synthetic agents on the scalp, thus hair hydrophobia occurs,” says natural hair therapist Paula Breder. “In other words, from the moment you ‘fill’ the strands with cream, a vicious cycle is created where the strands, instead of being treated, become dull, brittle, stiff, and shapeless,” explains the hair therapist.
The hydrophobic reaction occurs and what do the strands need? Water, cleansing, and treatments that can nourish the strands and make them healthy again. “Our hair is like plants; it needs care and plenty of water to grow healthy and strong,” explains Paula.

Natural Hair Therapist, Paula Breder is the creator of the philosophy and products that bear her name. Mentor of the first naturalist space in the State, a woman, and Black, Paula straightened her hair – as most Black women did – with all the options on the market, when after 25 years, she decided to discover the true texture of her hair. Thus, after much study, she became self-taught in phytotherapy and created beauty products for hair, such as shampoos, hair masks, gel, hair serum, sanitizer, among others. With this work, she began to influence other women through her own posture. Today she runs Paula Breder Fitocosméticos do Brasil and her philosophy is spread throughout Brazil, with two spaces in Greater Vitória, one in Vitória and another in Vila Velha.
