In Brazil, Halloween is not celebrated on October 31, the famous American Halloween. But the pandemic seems to be changing even the calendar of local festivities. This is because entrepreneurs in Espírito Santo are keeping an eye on the date and see it as an opportunity to boost sales, which have been greatly affected by the consequences of the coronavirus. To attract consumers, new products are being launched that allude to the celebration.

Even pumpkin beer has been created for the "Brazilian Halloween." The recipe is from Espírito Santo, exclusive, and has been named Pumpkin Ale, a drink that combines the vegetable with spices like cloves, cinnamon, and ginger. "It's a beer with a strong flavor, low alcohol content, and the unique sweetness of pumpkin. It's worth trying," said one of the product's creators, entrepreneur Léo Leal from Convento Cervejaria.

According to him, the pumpkin beer was sold in September of this year to "test" customer acceptance. "It was a success! Although it is a commemorative edition, we are thinking of adding it to the fixed product lineup," Leal added.
