The closing event of the Communities Program will take place at SebraeLab in Vitória next Monday, the 2nd. This edition, carried out in partnership with Sebrae/ES, benefited teenagers from the Ormanda Gonçalves State School.
With the aim of awakening the entrepreneurial spirit and preparing the young people and adolescents from the public school Ormanda Gonçalves in Cobilândia, Vila Velha, for the job market, the Otacílio Coser Foundation (FOCO) carried out another action of the Sustainable Communities Program. In this edition, the organization partnered with Sebrae/ES and promoted the Despertar course from the National Entrepreneurial Education Program (PNE). The course closing will take place next Monday, the 2nd, at SebraeLab in Vitória.
Ana Paula Carvalho, Programs Coordinator at FOCO, emphasizes that the initiative aligns with the Foundation's purpose of contributing to the strengthening of communities and generating income for families and young people in the regions where it operates through the promotion of entrepreneurial education. "The great differentiator of this course is that, in addition to receiving content about the characteristics of an entrepreneur, the teenagers learn about business models with social impact, a theme that FOCO works on extensively, aiming to empower young people to address social issues," she reinforces.
The Despertar course included 36 hours of in-person classes, 16 hours of guided field activities, and 10 hours of the Young Entrepreneur Fair. According to information from Sebrae, the training allows young people to know the characteristics of entrepreneurial behavior and identify them in themselves and in the entrepreneurs around them; understand essential aspects for developing in the job market; learn planning tools that can be applied in personal and professional life; reflect on and develop entrepreneurial characteristics; as well as apply planning tools aimed at achieving success both in their professional lives and in their personal growth.
Legacy
FOCO is named after one of the greatest entrepreneurs in Espírito Santo, Otacílio José Coser. Founder of the Coimex Group and with a decades-long trajectory in entrepreneurship, the businessman passed away at the age of 92 on November 5th. The Foundation is one of his legacies and works on strengthening the links between communities, schools, and companies through the development programs of Sustainable Communities, Rede Escolaí, and Blend Program.
