It is emblematic that his arrival in Vitória comes five decades after the release of his first album, "Manera, Fru Fru Manera," from 1973. It features the first hits that still stand out in the MPB repertoire, "Canteiros," "Último Pau de Arara," and "Mucuripe," the latter composed by his great friend Belchior.
Many other songs can still be added to the list of Fagner's greatest hits: "Deslizes," "Borbulhas de Amor," "Espumas Ao Vento," and "Oração de São Francisco," just to name a few.
And it is with this impressive setlist of songs that touch generations that Raimundo Fagner arrives at Espaço Patrick Ribeiro on May 20. The show will be a journey through the musical career of the most beloved son of Orós, in Ceará.
At 73 years old, Fagner has been quite productive, especially in the last two years: he released the album Meu Parceiro Belchior, full of stories in each song, and an album with Renato Teixeira called Naturezas, also singing “Mucuripe” as well as “Tocando em Frente,” “Eu Só Quero Ser Feliz,” and “Rastros da Paixão,” featuring Almir Sater. On stage, he has performed not only his own songs but also the most famous compositions of the Minas Gerais artist Vander Lee in "Onde Deus Possa me Ouvir."
Excerpts from these recent works will certainly be part of the performance in Vitória. Additionally, hits that have made their way into Brazilian soap operas such as “Noturno” (Coração Alado), “Pensamento” (Final Feliz), and “Revelação” (Cara a Cara). A night to sing along and be enchanted by one of Brazil's greatest troubadours.
