January of next year will start with high temperatures, not only because it is summer, but also due to the warming up of the tamborins that will take place during the Technical Rehearsals of the Carnival of Vitória 2023.
With a defined schedule - just two months away from one of the most anticipated cultural events - the rehearsals of the capixaba groups will move the Sambão do Povo.
The Technical Rehearsals will take place between January 24 and 31 and February 1 and 2, starting at 8 PM.
"This is the opportunity for the samba schools to finalize the last details such as singing, rhythm, and other tests before the official parades," says the president of the Independent League of Samba Schools of the Special Group (LIESGE), Edson Neto. "And it’s also an opportunity for the public to check how their favorite school is doing and for those who like to follow the warm-up," Neto adds.

Carnival of Vitória 2023
The Carnival of Brazil starts here
The Carnival of Vitória 2023 - already has confirmed dates to take place. On February 10, 11, and 12, the Sambão do Povo will become the most sought-after place for capixaba lovers of local samba and our culture. Yes! Next year, Carnival will take place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
The order of the parades has already been defined, with the samba schools of Group A parading on Friday, the 10th. The Special Group will parade on Saturday, the 11th, and the schools of Access Group B will parade on Sunday, the 12th, closing a weekend full of samba.
The capixaba Carnival leagues, LIESGE (League of Schools of the Special Group – ES) and Lieses (Independent League of Samba Schools – ES) have joined forces and signed a Term of agreement, collaboration, and mutual commitment, which established that in the years 2023, 2024, and 2025, the management of the Carnival will be under the responsibility of LIESGE. "We are already part of the capixaba Carnival, we live the day-to-day of samba and always participate in the event, so it is only fair that we are the protagonists of the entire carnival, especially after the pandemic," says the president of the Independent League of Samba Schools of the Special Group – ES (Liesge), Edson Neto.
For 2023, LIESGE will manage the carnival and has hired JBL Produções as the producer. The structure of the Carnival remains the same, with the party held at Sambão do Povo, featuring bleachers, corporate boxes, and collective areas. New features will include lounges - a new space for revelers - located in sector B - and an exclusive area for people with special needs (PNE). The confirmed collective boxes are: Camarote Vix; Camarote Gordinho; Camarote P12.
