Despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, several entrepreneurs are betting on new businesses. Siblings and entrepreneurs Guilherme and Giovana Brunoro have invested in a playful ecological children's ceremony, entirely indoor, which is scheduled to open in May, Vila Pindô. "Even with the restrictions, we are already prepared to inaugurate the ceremony according to the allowed limit of people and with all the safety protocols required by the State government," says Guilherme. "The moment is one of prudence, to respect the authorities' determinations and to hope that everyone is vaccinated as soon as possible so that we can have many reasons and moments of joy and celebrations," adds Guilherme. Even in the face of an adverse pandemic scenario, the entrepreneurs are optimistic and believe in a gradual recovery of the sector starting in the second half of 2021 with the intensification of vaccination.
According to ABEOC (Brazilian Association of Companies and Events), the children's party market grew by approximately 14% in 2019. "Although 2020 was an atypical year, people did not stop celebrating their children's birthdays or baby showers, even if online or more intimate, and they consumed goods from the sector, such as decorations, catering, stationery, etc.," explains Brunoro. Proof of this is that several celebrities have also held home parties for their children, receiving few guests or just family, like TV presenter Ana Hickmann, who celebrated her birthday and her son's on March 7, where she turned 40 and her son, known as "Alezinho," turned 7.
Vila Pindô brings to Espírito Santo an innovative concept of playful-ecological children's buffet "Indoor" already consolidated in more mature markets, such as those in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. According to the blog "Buffets Infantis," there are more than 30 buffets of this nature in the city of São Paulo alone. The specialized blog "Just Real Moms" lists the TOP five buffets in São Paulo, all of which are of a playful nature, and Hubert Krause, the most recognized children's party consultant in Brazil, highlights that playful buffets in the capital are the preference of the public with higher purchasing power.
The highlight of the space is its rustic environment, unique furniture, architecture, and decoration, as well as unprecedented toys in the state. The entire physical structure and processes of the ceremony were planned using the best market practices from the leading buffets of this nature as a reference.
The ceremony is an old desire of the siblings and is born with the proposal of bringing back the innocence and creativity of children. "Since the project - in which we prioritized an enterprise using rustic elements - our idea is to bring a playful environment for children, without technology," explains Guilherme. "The usual are games, mechanical toys, and in our ceremony, the child will really play and awaken their creativity," affirms Giovana. Upon entering, guests are surprised by an exclusive aerial container that serves as a base for the zip line. Among the toys, in addition to the zip line, there is a ribbon tunnel, spiral slide, round anthill, etc. "All the toys are netted, and we have safety equipment for the children," he emphasizes.
The entrepreneurs inform that part of the investment was made with their own capital and most with resources from BANDES, after a thorough analysis of a business plan approved by bank specialists. Vila Pindô is already open for bookings in 2021, with high demand for dates and some contracts already signed.
