Diogo Nogueira returns to Vitória, on Saturday, the 15th, to present the new show, MPB É SAMBA, SAMBA É MPB. The performance will be at 9:30 PM at Espaço Patrick Ribeiro, and tickets are on sale.
In addition to new interpretations of the hits “Pé na Areia”, “Alma Boêmia”, “Clareou” and “Sou Eu”, Diogo brings the samba de roda from Bahia to the stage, along with songs from the Brazilian popular music repertoire. Ranging from Arlindo Cruz to João Nogueira, passing through Chico Buarque, Beth Carvalho, Xande de Pilares, Tim Maia, and Gilberto Gil. Everything will end in samba!
Diogo Nogueira's repertoire tends to embrace and bring the diversity of Brazilian musical styles and sounds closer to the audience. The artist pays tribute to music masters with new arrangements: “Espelho” (João Nogueira and Paulo Cesar Pinheiro), “O Meu Lugar” (Arlindo Cruz and Mauro Diniz), “Primavera” (Cassiano and Silvio Rochael), “Andança” (Danilo Caymmi, Paulinho Tapajós and Edmundo Souto) and “Aquele Abraço” (Gilberto Gil), among others. Recent releases and songs never heard in his voice are also present. Unmissable!
The set list will not be the only highlight of the event. Diogo brings back dance to his shows. Always very present in his performances, both on and off stage, dance will be celebrated with the unprecedented participation of the ballet from Leandro Azevedo's company – actor, dancer, choreographer, and teacher. In addition to having composed the dance team that represented Brazil at the 2008 Olympics, he was a three-time champion of the “Super Dança dos Famosos” segment, alongside Paolla Oliveira.
And there’s more. Espaço Patrick Ribeiro will come to life with a new LED set design and exclusive costumes, signed by the brand Dendezeiro, from the Bahian designers Pedro Batalha and Hisan Silva.
