National Coffee Day with the Champion Coffee

On May 24, National Coffee Day is celebrated, one of Brazil's passions. May was chosen for this tribute because it is the month when the coffee harvest begins in most coffee-growing regions.

To celebrate the date, Terrafé, located in Shopping Jardins, exclusively launches the sale of the best special Arabica coffee from Espírito Santo, chosen at the Incaper (Capixaba Institute of Research, Technical Assistance and Rural Extension) Award.

The Microlot, produced by Willian Sartori from Castelo, is roasted by Terrafé and will be sold at the coffee shop locations and in its online store.

The coffee shop's initiative aims to help spread the culture of special coffees and value the small producers from Espírito Santo who dedicate themselves to the fields. The Special Coffees Award of Espírito Santo was held by Incaper and promoted by the State Government in 2020, covering the categories of Arabica and Conilon coffees, in addition to recognizing sustainable practices in production.

According to the roasting master and owner of Terrafé Cafeteria and Roasting, Raul Guizelini, when they decided to bid for the sack of the Microlot and adequately compensate the champion producer, they wanted to not only value his work but also to keep the best coffee from Espírito Santo in Brazil, so that locals would have the chance to taste it, since the vast majority is purchased by other countries. "Moreover, the Microlot from producer William was the winner with 89 points, and his coffee was evaluated with unique sensory notes that further enhance the quality of Espírito Santo coffees," Guizelini stated.

The Microlot, with 150g, comes in a numbered and collectible tin. Its sensory characteristics are: canned peach, Sicilian lemon, and coffee flower. By purchasing this special edition, customers are guaranteed a 10% discount on the entire line of Terrafé Microlots from 2021. In addition to the champion coffee, Terrafé will launch its gift line: Espírito Santo Land of Champions, which will include cups, shirts, caps, and promotional kits for coffee lovers!
