Father's Day is approaching, and the beauty market is already eyeing the date of August 11. According to research by Research & Markets, the men's cosmetics segment reached $69 billion in 2020 and is expected to reach $78.6 billion by 2024 – although nearly 90% of the global beauty market is geared towards women.
In addition to products specifically for men, there are advanced technologies that cater to the male audience. According to Dr. Renata Melo, hair-related procedures are highly sought after by men. "We serve various clients who, besides being vain and taking care of their appearance, also care about their health and seek us for treatments for baldness, thinning hair, increased hairline, among others.
One of the treatments used is mesotherapy, with a device that does not use needles. "This new method employs a technique for applying active ingredients and medications directly to the area to be treated, delivering nutrients and medications to the deeper layers of the skin without the need for needles, cuts, or any painful sensations, using an advanced technology called electroporation," she explains.
Additionally, the doctor created a protocol titled "Regenera Hair," where she proposes a combination of treatments and advanced technologies that will treat and prevent problems on the scalp. "We start with digital videodermatoscopy for a detailed analysis of the hair, and then we apply Erbium laser to stimulate circulation and the metabolism of hair cells, microinfusion of medications that will treat hair loss and stimulate hair growth, and finally photobiomodulation that reduces follicular inflammation and strengthens the hair," Renata explains.
Renata also mentions that treatments for skin and body are quite sought after, but hair treatments are the first choice for men.
