MeuChope.com has launched a project in its space in the Mata da Praia neighborhood of Vitória. Starting next Sunday (12), the startup will tell the stories of local breweries. “We will promote the label and work campaign of the Capixaba breweries in an event that will also feature Capixaba music,” highlights Bruno Medeiros, CEO of Meu Chope.
The first brewery to debut will be Convento. The company will bring the beer ‘Maria Ortiz’ to the self-service taps, a drink launched in the second half of 2021. Maria Ortiz was the personality chosen by Convento Brewery to name the company’s biggest launch last year. “Maria Ortiz is a beer that reinforces the pride of our history and is an opportunity to draw consumers' attention to the quality of the products developed here,” explains businessman Léo Leal, one of the product's creators.
The event starts at 2 PM with a show by Dona Fran and Saulo Simonassi. “We chose Dona Fran because we are presenting a craft beer named after a strong woman, Maria Ortiz. In this case, it would be good to bring a singer with a striking voice who represents the Capixabas,” emphasizes Monique Barth, marketing at MeuChope. “Saulo Simonassi completes the party with a special repertoire for couples or singles to celebrate June 12,” concludes Monique.
Maria Ortiz
In March 1625, the Dutch were defeated by the Capixabas led by Maria Ortiz. "Maria Ortiz was the greatest symbol of heroism in Brazil for years. This woman managed to lead a campaign to expel the Dutch from an invasion of the island of Vitória," recalls Léo Leal.
To honor the heroine, Convento Brewery created an interactive label last year. "I have a QR code on the label that, when scanned with a mobile phone, starts to animate. It shows Maria Ortiz throwing a bucket of boiling water at the Dutch,” concludes the businessman.
