Who doesn't love to refresh their look? Nowadays, the beauty universe has various novelties, and non-invasive procedures - which have the effect of plastic surgery - are highly sought after.
Among the techniques, the Full Face Facial Lifting stands out. The postgraduate in Orofacial Facial Harmonization from the European Face Institute, Judith Ottoni, explains that it is indicated for those with mild to moderate facial sagging. “Many patients do not want to undergo plastic surgery and seek results with new techniques like the Full Face Facial Lifting,” she highlights.
With the high demand, the specialist in Orofacial Harmonization has been teaching courses to qualify professionals in the field to perform the procedure, and on the upcoming days of August 18, 19, and 20, she will hold the 2nd course on Full Face Facial Lifting (non-surgical) at her Institute, in Enseada do Suá, in Vitória, alongside postgraduate student in Orofacial Harmonization, Gustavo Bassani.
To understand a little more about the procedure, Judith explains that the lifting is temporal, meaning it is used on both sides of the temples, above the hairline. “This procedure repositions the muscles, giving a more rejuvenated appearance without altering your features,” she explains.
With the natural aging process of the skin, the face experiences a loss of collagen, leading to sagging of the tissues that provide support. “This process begins after the age of 25, and as a consequence, we see the fall of the cheekbone, the formation of nasolabial folds, the displacement of fat from the cheeks (buccal fat pads) downwards, and loss of jawline contour,” Judith explains.
For this, the Full Face Facial Lifting (Temporal Lifting) is ideal. According to Gustavo Bassani, the technique uses non-absorbable threads through small incisions in the temples. “It is performed in the area above the ear, and we reposition the muscles, providing a more rejuvenated appearance without altering the features,” explains the specialist.
These support threads used in Temporal Lifting, unlike PDO threads, do not reabsorb and are also biocompatible. “The material has been used for a long time in the medical field, internally in the body – for sutures – and does not cause problems,” explains Bassani.
Thus, the result is more durable due to the non-reabsorption of these threads. “The durability is two years, and the procedure does not require hospitalization, can be done with local anesthesia or sedation, and in the office itself, which is prepared with all the rigor of biosafety,” explains Judith.
Patient satisfaction is noticeable, especially due to the recovery and the results obtained. “Recovery is quite fast, with a recommendation of two to three days of rest, and the results can be seen right after the procedure, which is safe, quick, and relatively simple in trained and competent hands,” Judith points out. Regarding age, the dental surgeon says there is no specific indication; anyone with moderate sagging can undergo the procedure.
