We are already in autumn and winter is approaching, a season with milder temperatures and drier weather, when the skin suffers more from dryness and spots, making it an ideal time for recovery treatments.
According to Dr. Renata Melo, the most sought-after treatments are those using lasers, such as Hollywood Peel, Focused Ultrasound, pulsed light, and collagen biostimulators. "We will treat everything from the face with post-summer spots to hands and body," says the doctor.
One of the new treatments is PDRN, which stands for Polidexyribonucleotide, a revolutionary skin treatment that uses salmon DNA. "The product contains hyaluronic acid, which improves fine wrinkles and hydrates the skin; the substance comes from salmon DNA, with regenerative activity that remodels cells; and niacinamide, which acts as a powerful brightening and lightening agent," explains Renata. This treatment improves collagen and skin texture, providing a younger and healthier appearance.
In addition to this novelty, the well-known Erbium Laser stimulates collagen and is indicated for reducing excessive skin pigmentation (the famous spots). The Ultraformer MPT 3 is another treatment that the doctor highlights. "This treatment is the favorite in the office. With it, I can treat the skin non-invasively, in addition to providing a lifting and rejuvenating effect," she points out.
"The device is a non-invasive skin treatment tool. It uses high-intensity micro and macro focused ultrasound energy and treats the three layers of the skin. Besides stimulating collagen, it acts even on the muscle layer, providing anchoring and support for the tissues with a lifting effect," she says.

Tips to keep your skin hydrated (SBD)
- Drink at least two liters of water a day.
- Avoid hot and prolonged showers; avoid excessive soaping and using sponges, which also contribute to altering the composition of the hydrolipidic mantle (natural moisturizer produced by the body) that protects the skin.
- Use moisturizer.
- For oily and acne-prone skin, avoid regular moisturizer on the face, using oil-free products in the areas of highest oiliness (face and chest).
- Lips also tend to dry out a lot in winter. It is important to use specific moisturizers for this area to avoid cracks.
- Use sunscreen daily.
