The little ones' vacation is approaching, and not all parents can stop working to give exclusive attention to their kids. Some turn to grandparents, others take turns caring for the children, some work from home, and a growing trend is taking kids to summer camps. In these places, they have schedules and spend the day active, with various activities and friends of the same age, allowing parents to stay focused on their work.
Businesswoman Alessandra Kelly, who has two children, one 6 and the other 9 years old, said that during the vacation she takes turns with the children's father, and when they are with her and she cannot work from home, she hires a babysitter to look after the boys while she is away.
Carla Rodrigues, who has a 9-year-old son, said she prefers the convenience of a summer camp. “There, my son stays the same amount of time he would at school, so since I don’t have vacation at the same time, I can remain productive without worrying about who to leave him with, and more importantly, that he is not just having fun but is also engaged in activities.”
Entrepreneur Beto Câmara Gomes, who along with his partners is responsible for the Happy Hall party house located in Itaparica, Vila Velha, said that the schedule is already set, and they will welcome children for the Happy Summer Camp from July 17 to 21 and from July 24 to 28.
“We have prepared a long schedule to ensure fun. In addition to traditional games, we created some workshops like cooking, which will be activities related to culinary, slime workshop; interactive theater, rhythm classes, dance battles, treasure hunts, and movie time, in addition to the 13 different toys that the house offers, such as la bamba, mini Ferris wheel, big toy, basketball, and others. All will be available for the children's enjoyment along with our monitors,” he said.
Each in their own reality, but the fact is that parents go crazy and have to figure out how to manage this format of the Brazilian school system that does not align with the market experienced by the children's parents.
