Makeup is always connected to our mood and the occasion, and Carnival is the most exuberant party of the year," says Stênio Neves, makeup artist at Be Spa Urbano, a beauty hotspot in Praia do Canto. The professional shared some tips to ensure an incredible, stunning look, just as Carnival deserves. To start "Remember that you will be jumping a lot and the party has no set end time. So, invest in a good primer and a foundation that can withstand the heat, sweat, and long hours of celebration," says Neves. Colors One of the important points of Carnival makeup is the eye area. And anything goes, especially colorful and shiny eyeshadows. Neon is one of the most incredible trends, and you can mix different shades in the same look. "You can mix shades that don't belong to the same palette. It looks luxurious! Pink and green, orange and blue, yellow and pink... and even three or four shades. Remember to also apply eyeshadow on the lower part of the eyes to make it even more special," suggests Stênio Neves. Eyeline Eyeliner can completely change the look. Invest in colorful or graphic eyeliner, which is in vogue. Another good tip for extravagant looks is to go wild with false eyelashes. "Fuller, colorful, long lashes, and even those with feathers and sparkle make the look more dramatic and polished," says Neves. However, it’s important to remember that glitter on the face should only be specific for makeup. "Eye primer or eyelash glue can help stick the glitter and ensure that the makeup stays flawless for longer," suggests Stênio Neves. Gemstones Gemstones add a touch of luxury to any makeup. Colorful, shiny, small or large, it doesn’t matter. The stones are synonymous with celebration. A good tip is to lightly trace the desired position with a pencil and then apply the stones.
