Since the beginning of the year, the global beauty market has shown the changes occurring regarding the appreciation of the natural. Whether in hair and makeup trends, products have also played a significant role in the segment, and the production of organic, natural, and vegan products has increased. According to a report by Grand View Research, the global organic personal care market is expected to reach $25.11 billion by 2025.
Thus, the term “Clean Beauty” emerged to denote the green wave hitting the beauty market. “Several brands have been betting on the commercialization of natural products that do not impact the environment,” says natural hair therapist Paula Breder. “Hence the name, which has a broad meaning and prioritizes the use of non-toxic and as natural as possible ingredients,” explains Paula.
Paula, who has been an advocate of this market for seven years and produces her line of products using various elements from the natural habitat, states that the trend has stood out because it is good for health and treatments. “In my case, as I work with hair care, all the products I create are made with ingredients from nature such as plants, honey, tapioca, which give rise to creams, shampoos, vegetable oils, among others that are beneficial for the scalp and are used by people with various hair types,” she asserts. “Even dermatitis is treated with these products, and we have already had proven results,” she points out.
According to Paula, when she mentions that some of her products are made with honey and tapioca, consumers sometimes find it hard to believe that a food ingredient is among the components. “We conduct studies, test, and the creams, shampoos, and nutrition masks are made with honey, tapioca, coconut oil, and also ucuúba, cupuaçu, propolis, eucalyptus, murumuru that do the best for the hair,” she concludes.
Clean Beauty is here to stay, and brands will have to adapt more and more; the movement is only growing, not only in aesthetics but also in clothing. We ourselves have always worked with products free from petroleum derivatives, silicones, synthetic fragrances, and sulfates, thus they fit into the clean movement and are also 100% natural and not tested on animals.
