Winter has arrived, bringing with it low temperatures. For beer enthusiasts, it's time to savor the more intense and complex flavors that will provide that warming sensation.
According to Léo Leal, one of the partners at Convento Cervejaria, during this period, craft beers with more refined flavors and more structured combinations are preferred. “Those who already consume craft beers seek our IPAs like Indian Pale, Session IPA, Double IPA, as well as Red Ale and our chocolate beer, which are more full-bodied and feature combinations of imported malts with more pronounced hop aromas,” says Leal.
“But there are also consumers who already consider craft beer to have a more refined flavor and opt for lighter beers like Pilsen, our lavender beer, Maria Ortiz, Belgian Blond Ale, and American Wheat Beer, which also have refined flavors but with lighter notes, citrus and fruity aromas,” explains the businessman.
Léo states that for them, there isn't much difference between the seasons. “In the past, there was this culture that beer paired with summer. Today, due to the popularization of craft beer and the growth of the market in Espírito Santo, this differentiation no longer exists,” he emphasizes. “The people of Espírito Santo are already eager consumers of our beers,” he points out. The businessman mentions that the beers can be paired with charcuterie boards, meats, and dinners.
