Halloween, a traditional celebration that takes place in the United States and other countries on October 31, is known here as Dia das Bruxas. In Brazil, the tradition does not involve trick-or-treating, but celebrations in bars, party houses, and even private parties take place, and people also get into the spirit and dress up.
In the United States, the celebration is so important that, in addition to treats, even beers have been created especially for the occasion, the ‘Pumpkin Ales’. Convento Cervejaria - a craft beer brewery located in Serra, Brazil - decided to join in the fun and has been producing its Pumpkin Ale for Halloween since last year, strictly following the American recipe. “Pumpkin combined with cloves, cinnamon, and ginger are the main ingredients of the beer,” says one of the brewery's partners, Léo Leal. “It has a distinctive flavor, low alcohol content, and the unique sweetness of pumpkin, which has been well received by craft beer enthusiasts,” highlights Leal.
The commemorative edition will be launched on October 22. “We will repeat the dose and enhance the palates of Halloween fans,” says Leal. For those looking for a new experience or who already know the Pumpkin Ale, just visit the brand's sales website at dire.to/convento or through the app available on Play Store and also at some partner sales points.
