For 17 years bringing great flavor to its customers, Casa do Torresmo expands its area of operation and lands at Praia do Morro in Guarapari. The news in the City of Health is presented by gastronomist and sommelier Fernando Miguel, with 13 years of experience in the sector. The establishment will start serving customers in the southern region of the state from August 1 (Saturday). The location and the team of professionals are being prepared to implement all the norms and protocols defined by health authorities and also by the city hall.
With an initial inspiration for gastronomy awakened by his mother Beth Miguel, entrepreneur Fernando Miguel got to know Casa do Torresmo 15 years ago and was enchanted by the quality of the products. “As a good miner, I first got to know the house's flagship dish: the torresmo. And there I realized that even with all the simplicity, there is a story behind each dish, which goes beyond the preparations. After all, there are three generations behind this business that enchants everyone,” he highlights.
Thus, he began to see opportunities in this market. “Knowing the product, the workforce in charge of the franchise, the family project policy involved in this process, and also having roots in Espírito Santo – the place where I built my career, which I love and owe a lot to – I decided to take advantage of the existing creations, which are already very successful,” he says.
The menu will initially feature the classics already offered by the chain, such as: roasted chicken, pork meats, feijão tropeiro, salpicão, beef ribs, pudding, and of course, torresmo in all its forms. “Even due to my experience in the gastronomy area, we established a very interesting partnership with the brand owners; they gave me full creative freedom for the launch of new products after the opening of the new store,” he reveals.
About the entrepreneurFernando Miguel is a gastronomist, graduated from Faculdade Novo Milênio, class of 1988. He is also a chef, graduated from Hotel Senac, and a sommelier, also graduated from Faculdade Novo Milênio. “I feel honored to be from this class, which produced great professionals in the sector,” he says.
In the beginning, the entrepreneur worked with some events and dinners with a barbecue menu, in a gourmet line, preparing exotic meats and roasted fish. He is also in charge of Restaurante Sabor e Arte in Vitória, alongside chef José Carlos Welff, later taking over the kitchen team as well as the establishment's administration.
Expectations
In this new project with Casa do Torresmo, the entrepreneur's idea is to combine work and quality of life. “I am moving to the Nova Guarapari region, building a dream kitchen, semi-industrial. I want to make some grilled dishes and harmonized, special pastas and sauces,” he shares.
The new establishment already has a team being trained in partnership with Casa do Torresmo to operate on-site, including with local products, such as fish. “I see great potential in Guarapari to add more gastronomy, and I really like this mix of the sea with barbecue and natural smoking. I also intend to open another store in the city center and a Casa do Torresmo Mobile, serving the regions of Bacutia, Peracanga, and Piúma,” he plans.
In addition to Praia do Morro in Guarapari, Casa do Torresmo will also soon have franchises in Itaparica (Vila Velha), Laranjeiras, and Porto Canoa (Serra) and its first store in São Paulo, in Morumbi.
