The Carnival of Vitória 2020 takes place on February 13, 14, and 15 at Sambão do Povo in Vitória, and next Monday, the 3rd, the Technical Rehearsals will begin, with high expectations from both the samba schools and the community and the organization. “It’s a preview of what will be presented in one of the most sought-after events in the State,” says the president of the Independent League of Samba Schools of the Special Group (LIESGE), Edvaldo Teixeira. “Moreover, it’s a great test for the Schools,” assures Edson Rodrigues de Freitas Neto, president of the Espírito Santense League of Samba Schools (LIESES). The rehearsals start at 9 PM and take place at Sambão do Povo, being open to the public.
According to the president of LIESGE, Edvaldo Teixeira, the people of Espírito Santo can expect a beautiful and surprising party this year. “For those who love the festivities, Carnival is in full swing; I have been following the work in the barracks and I am surprised by how advanced the schools are, not even the rain has hindered them,” Teixeira guarantees. “The parades will be surprising from what I’ve seen, as the costumes and floats I have already appreciated are stunning and with very eye-catching sculptures, with enormous sizes that will enchant those present; I am very excited,” he shares.
Regarding the structure being set up for the Carnival of Vitória 2020, according to one of the organizers, Raimundo Nonato, the schedule is on track: “The setup is already advanced, the lighting, the electrical part as a whole, and the sound system,” he states.

The Carnival of Vitória grows every year and enchants the locals and visitors from outside the State. The party at Sambão do Povo takes place on February 13, 14, and 15. Proof of this is that each edition sees various celebrities participating in the samba schools' parades, the boxes are in high demand, the stands are packed, and the sale of tables sells out in a few days, such is the prestige of the event with the local population, which increasingly honors local samba. The technical rehearsals are competitive, and the schools invest in samba-enredos, choreographies, and costumes that do not fall behind the parades of major schools, such as those in São Paulo and even Rio de Janeiro. For the year 2020, the Access Group schools will parade on Thursday, February 13. Admission to watch the parades in the stands will be free. On Friday, February 14, and Saturday, February 15, the samba schools of Group A and the Special Group will parade, respectively. On these days, tickets for the stands will cost R$ 25.00 on Friday (14), and R$ 40.00 on Saturday (15). Tickets can be purchased at the website www.lebillet.com.br and at Óticas Diniz (Shopping Vitória, Shopping Vila Velha, Shopping Praia da Costa, Shopping Moxuara, and Shopping Mestre Álvaro).
