Summer, sun, beach, pool! Hair care is essential during this time, and for those with blonde hair, the attention is greater: “Just a dip in the pool can turn hair green,” says the hairstylist in charge of Camarim Tex, Heyd Tex.
And what are the reasons for this to happen? “The copper sulfate used in pool cleaning comes into contact with the hair dye, and an oxidation process occurs, leaving the hair with this greenish tone,” explains the specialist.
To avoid this color change in hair, Tex suggests using creams before entering the pool that protect the hair cuticles. “Always hydrate your hair a lot in summer, and in this case, use creams before diving in, and if it happens, use clarifying shampoos,” says the hairstylist.
