Regarding the most sought-after beauty procedures by men, Karina states that there is a consensus: quick, efficient treatments that leave no marks and are preferably painless. "Baldness is a reason that brings many men to my office. This hair loss bothers them a lot and lowers their self-esteem. Today we have several treatments for this problem," says Karina. Among the procedures recommended by the doctor, the microinfusion of medications into the skin (MMP) with drug delivery and Thulium Laser are the most sought-after to treat hair loss and stimulate hair growth.
According to dermatologist Irene Baldi, skin cleansing is widely used by men because they have oilier skin and sweat more, due to the greater activity of sebaceous glands, making this treatment very popular. Additionally, botulinum toxin has gained significant male participation to combat expression wrinkles, and laser hair removal, which was previously sought mainly by women, has now become preferred by men. "They remove hair from areas such as arms, chest, armpits, and back," explains the dermatologist. Cryolipolysis is another treatment commonly used by them to improve body definition, eliminating localized fat, and for hair loss, the Thulium Laser is the most modern treatment indicated.
In the field of plastic surgery, male demand is also quite significant, according to plastic surgeon Jefferson Vaccari. In his office, the most sought-after surgical procedures by men are liposuction with buttock grafting, gynecomastia with chest prosthesis, and blepharoplasty. "They have realized that caring about aesthetics is an excellent resource to boost self-esteem and increase well-being. After all, it makes no sense to be satisfied with one's romantic relationship and professional life if one feels uncomfortable every time they face the mirror, right?" he says.
For surgeon Humberto Pinto, in addition to the procedures mentioned above, rhinoplasty, which is one of the most sought-after surgeries at the moment, has also grown among men, as well as blepharoplasty, which removes excess skin from the eyelids.
